Special Service Laboratory helps to provide everlasting smiles to patients. Our goal is to continue growing our business with new technological advances. We provide high quality dental appliances to Lubbock dentists and surrounding communities.
Special Service Laboratory was founded by Steve Boucher, CDT, in 1977. Special Service Laboratory has transferred to the second-generation of ownership — Steve’s daughters, Casey Boucher-Hart, CDT, and Lyndsey Boucher-Davidson, CDT.
Special Service Laboratory provides the latest and most innovative dental products on the market. Special Service Laboratory is the only Certified Dental Laboratory in the South Plains region. Casey, Lyndsey, and Steve share a passion for a beautiful healthy smile. Together with their team of experts at Special Service Laboratory, they are ready and willing to take on any case handed to them!

Steve Boucher, CDT
Steve began his dental technician training in the US Navy in 1968, where he developed a passion for dental technology. Steve opened SSL in 1977 & has continued to stay on the cutting edge of the dental industry. He has been a Certified Dental Technician for over 40 years. Steve has been married for over 50 years to his high school sweetheart, Cathy. Together, they have 3 children, Joshua, Casey and Lyndsey, who are also Certified Dental technicians following in his footsteps, & 7 grandchildren. He enjoys working & traveling.
Cathy Boucher
Cathy has been Special Service Laboratory’s bookkeeper for over 40 years. She has also been married to Steve for over 50 years. Cathy enjoys traveling, making art, and hanging out with friends.
Casey Hart, CDT
Casey graduated from York College in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Business. Casey has worked at Special Service Laboratory for 16 years and received her CDT in 2016. She is married and has two spunky, fun-loving kids who keep her on her toes!
Lyndsey Davidson, CDT
Lyndsey has been with Special Service Laboratory for 16 years and received her CDT in 2016. She is happily married and has three children. Lyndsey enjoys traveling, hanging out with friends, and running her kids to and from all of their sport activities.
Joshua Boucher, CDT
Joshua has been in the dental lab field for 30 years and has spent the last 15 years in the Dallas Metroplex, until making the move back home to help further grow his family's business. He has 2 kids ages 20 and 15 and in his spare time he loves making music and practicing yoga.
Nora
Nora has been with Special Service Laboratory for over 30 years and continues to love what she does. Nora enjoys watching baseball, dancing, fishing, and baking.
Jeanna McClure
Jeanna has been with Special Service Laboratory for 12 years. She is the one who everyone talks to when they call. She will gladly answer any questions or help any way she can. She was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and has three beautiful daughters. Jeanna enjoys traveling and spending time in the mountains.
Abel Luna
Abel has been with Special Service Laboratory for over 10 years. He received his training at Caplan dental assisting. He has also been a musician for over 30 years and enjoys playing guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and harmonica.
Ranee Kidd
Ranee has been with SSL for five years and loves being able to go into our doctors’ offices and create relationships with them. She enjoys sports, photography, and being the mom to an amazing daughter.
